Hi, are you like me (and most people), a tad or highly concerned about climate change? About harm being caused to this planet we all share? The risks to yourself, your family, other folks and wildlife?

Well, I’ve discovered chatting climate care and taking action is easier than I thought. And one of my climate actions is donating to plant a tree for every poem I write and share publicly with my notes. On my website, Bluesky, Medium and in collaborations.

Plus, if you choose to pay to receive my notes, I donate to plant a tree when you sign up.

Why?

This explains why trees are effective. Plus, I studied Environmental Science at one time, have been adversely affected by severe storms, tornadoes and wildfire smoke, and have discovered that every time I experience a spike of eco-anxiety, it helps me feel calmer to add an additional climate care action to what I do already.

It's felt terrifying, at times, to shelter with my children in our basement during severe storm warnings. To be unable be outside safely breathing clean air during wildfire season.

Have you experienced similar?

Well, donating to plant trees is one of the ways I try to help mitigate climate change, and help highlight care’s needed in an ongoing way.

Five certificates form One Tree Planted, with a photo bottom right of a leaf lined pathway through trees. Each certificate has a tree sapling growing out of soil at the bottom right, with text saying how much each donation was for at the time. Since August 1st 2024 tree donations made equate to 225 trees being planted.
